Yet here he is, speaking publicly, ¹  and they are saying nothing to him. ²  Do the rulers really know that this man ³  is the Christ? ⁴ 

The man replied, ¹  “This is a remarkable thing, ²  that you don’t know where he comes from, and yet he caused me to see! ³ 

They will never follow a stranger, ¹  but will run away from him, because they do not recognize ²  the stranger’s voice.” ³ 

They will put you out of ¹  the synagogue, ²  yet a time ³  is coming when the one who kills you will think he is offering service to God. ⁴ 

For the promise ¹  is for you and your children, and for all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”

He ¹  commanded us to preach to the people and to warn ²  them ³  that he is the one ⁴  appointed ⁵  by God as judge ⁶  of the living and the dead.

Peter ¹  went out ²  and followed him; ³  he did not realize that what was happening through the angel was real, ⁴  but thought he was seeing a vision.

Now when Silas and Timothy arrived ¹  from Macedonia, ²  Paul became wholly absorbed with proclaiming ³  the word, testifying ⁴  to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ. ⁵ 

So then some were shouting one thing, some another, for the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had met together. ¹ 

Then Paul ¹  went back upstairs, ²  and after he had broken bread and eaten, he talked with them ³  a long time, until dawn. Then he left.

Requesting him to do them a favor against Paul, ¹  they urged Festus ²  to summon him to Jerusalem, planning an ambush ³  to kill him along the way.

He ¹  did not waver in unbelief about the promise of God but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.

¹ Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have ²  peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Or do you not know that as many as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

nor are all the children Abraham’s true descendants; rather “through Isaac will your descendants be counted.” ¹ 

who risked their own necks for my life. Not only I, but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.

I fed you milk, ¹  not solid food, for you were not yet ready. In fact, you are still not ready,

Or do you not know that anyone who is united with ¹  a prostitute is one body with her? ²  For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” ³ 

If after all there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords),

If I am not an apostle to others, at least I am to you, for you are the confirming sign ¹  of my apostleship in the Lord.
