to cause it to rain on an uninhabited land, ¹  a desert where there are no human beings, ² 

Their young grow strong, and grow up in the open; ¹  they go off, and do not return to them.

Who let the wild donkey go free? Who released the bonds of the donkey,

Can you bind the wild ox ¹  to a furrow with its rope, will it till the valleys, following after you?

It is as if I have been given fertile fields or received a beautiful tract of land. ¹ 

He takes me to lush pastures, he leads me to refreshing water.

They ate all the vegetation in their land, and devoured the crops of their fields. ¹ 

Do not lie in wait like the wicked ¹  against the place where the righteous live; do not assault ²  his home.

My beloved is like a cluster of henna blossoms ¹  in the vineyards of En-Gedi. ² 

The water of the sea will be dried up, and the river will dry up and be empty. ¹ 

All you wild animals in the fields, come and devour, all you wild animals in the forest!

They will build houses and live in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

At the risk ¹  of our lives ²  we get our food ³  because robbers lurk ⁴  in the countryside. ⁵ 

The desolate land will be plowed, instead of being desolate in the sight of everyone who passes by.

You will fall dead in the open field; for I have spoken, declares the sovereign Lord.

But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is useless and about to be cursed; ¹  its fate is to be burned.

They covered ¹  the surface ²  of all the ground, so that the ground became dark with them, ³  and they ate all the vegetation of the ground and all the fruit of the trees that the hail had left. Nothing green remained on the trees or on anything that grew in the fields throughout the whole land of Egypt.

“You are also to observe ¹  the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors that you have sown in the field, and the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year ²  when you have gathered in ³  your harvest ⁴  out of the field.

This is so that ¹  the Israelites will bring their sacrifices that they are sacrificing in the open field ²  to the Lord at the entrance of the Meeting Tent to the priest and sacrifice them there as peace offering sacrifices to the Lord.

The king asked the woman about it, and she gave him the details. ¹  The king assigned a eunuch to take care of her request and ordered him, ²  “Give her back everything she owns, as well as the amount of crops her field produced from the day she left the land until now.”
