Wild animals will rest there, the ruined ¹  houses will be full of hyenas. ²  Ostriches will live there, wild goats will skip among the ruins. ³ 

In their streets they wear sackcloth; on their roofs and in their town squares all of them wail, they fall down weeping.

They ¹  lift their voices and shout joyfully; they praise ²  the majesty of the Lord in the west.

I cry out ¹  until morning; like a lion he shatters all my bones; you turn day into night and end my life. ²
