I will punish the leaders of Judah and Jerusalem, the court officials, ¹  the priests, and all the other people of the land who passed between the pieces of the calf. ² 

He walked about among the lions; he became a young lion. He learned to tear prey; he devoured people.

When he left there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee. Then he went up a mountain, where he sat down.

After this ¹  Jesus traveled throughout Galilee. ²  He ³  stayed out of Judea ⁴  because the Jewish leaders ⁵  wanted ⁶  to kill him.

¹ The Philistine kept coming closer to David, with his shield bearer walking in front of him.

Jotham grew powerful because he was determined to please the Lord his God. ¹ 

Proud beasts ¹  have not set foot on it, and no lion has passed along it.

He abandoned ¹  the sanctuary at Shiloh, the tent where he lived among men.

If only my people would obey me! ¹  If only Israel would keep my commands! ² 

I take note of the treacherous and despise them, because they do not keep your instructions. ¹ 

You have sacrificed to other gods! You have sinned against the Lord! You have not obeyed the Lord! You have not followed his laws, his statutes, and his decrees! That is why this disaster that is evident to this day has happened to you.” ¹ 

He drove me into captivity ¹  and made me walk ²  in darkness and not light.

But you trample on the sea with your horses, on the surging, raging waters. ¹ 

But the Pharisees went out and plotted against him, as to how they could assassinate ¹  him.

When Judas ¹  arrived, he went up to Jesus ²  immediately and said, “Rabbi!” and kissed ³  him.

And he got up and followed him, leaving everything ¹  behind. ² 

He went away from them about a stone’s throw, knelt down, and prayed,

but when they went in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. ¹ 

They ¹  were talking to each other about all the things that had happened.

So Jesus went on up the mountainside ¹  and sat down there with his disciples.
