The Lord also has a covenant lawsuit ¹  against Judah; he will punish Jacob according to his ways and repay him according to his deeds.

So ¹  he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis ²  what Jesus had done for him, ³  and all were amazed.

Then many of the people, ¹  who had come with Mary and had seen the things Jesus ²  did, believed in him.

So these approached Philip, ¹  who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested, ²  “Sir, we would like to see Jesus.”

When ¹  he saw one of them being hurt unfairly, ²  Moses ³  came to his defense ⁴  and avenged the person who was mistreated by striking down the Egyptian.

The next day we put in ¹  at Sidon, ²  and Julius, treating Paul kindly, ³  allowed him to go to his friends so they could provide him with what he needed. ⁴ 

But now there is nothing more to keep me ¹  in these regions, and I have for many years desired ²  to come to you

So the Lord God of Israel has this to say about the leaders who are ruling over his people: “You have caused my people ¹  to be dispersed and driven into exile. You have not taken care of them. So I will punish you for the evil that you have done. ²  I, the Lord, affirm it! ³ 

Indeed, I am about to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not take heed to the sheep headed to slaughter, will not seek the scattered, and will not heal the injured. ¹  Moreover, he will not nourish the one that is healthy but instead will eat the meat of the fat sheep ²  and tear off their hooves.

I do not want you to be unaware, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  that I often intended to come to you (and was prevented until now), so that I may have some fruit even among you, just as I already have among the rest of the Gentiles. ³ 

But now Timothy has come ¹  to us from you and given us the good news of your faith and love and that you always think of us with affection ²  and long to see us just as we also long to see you! ³ 

The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants ¹  I will give this land.” So Abram ²  built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

At that time Abimelech and Phicol, the commander of his army, said to Abraham, “God is with you ¹  in all that you do.

After these things Joseph was told, ¹  “Your father is weakening.” So he took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim with him.
