So ¹  Judas ²  agreed and began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus ³  when no crowd was present. ⁴ 

Then ¹  they returned and prepared aromatic spices ²  and perfumes. ³  On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment. ⁴ 

But if I do what I don’t want, I agree that the law is good. ¹ 

Now an intermediary is not for one party alone, but God is one. ¹ 

For if that first covenant had been faultless, no one would have looked for a second one. ¹ 

And these all were commended ¹  for their faith, yet they did not receive what was promised. ² 

And the fruit that consists of righteousness ¹  is planted ²  in peace among ³  those who make peace.

Finally, all of you be harmonious, ¹  sympathetic, affectionate, compassionate, and humble.

So David said, “Good! I will make an agreement with you. I ask only one thing from you. You will not see my face unless you bring Saul’s daughter Michal when you come to visit me.” ¹ 

His intention ¹  will be to come with the strength of his entire kingdom, and he will form alliances. ²  He will give the king of the south ³  a daughter ⁴  in marriage in order to destroy the kingdom, but it will not turn out to his advantage.

I urge you, brothers and sisters, ¹  by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to agree together, ²  to end your divisions, ³  and to be united by the same mind and purpose. ⁴ 

“It will not be like the covenant ¹  that I made with their fathers, on the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not continue in my covenant and I had no regard for them, says the Lord.

The king stood by the pillar and renewed ¹  the covenant before the Lord, agreeing to follow ²  the Lord and to obey his commandments, laws, and rules with all his heart and being, ³  by carrying out the terms ⁴  of this covenant recorded on this scroll. All the people agreed to keep the covenant. ⁵ 

I will place ¹  my rainbow ²  in the clouds, and it will become ³  a guarantee of the covenant between me and the earth.

This is my requirement that you and your descendants after you must keep: ¹  Every male among you must be circumcised. ² 

You must circumcise the flesh of your foreskins. This will be a reminder ¹  of the covenant between me and you.

But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this set time next year.”

So they made a treaty ¹  at Beer Sheba. Then Abimelech and Phicol, the commander of his army, returned ²  to the land of the Philistines. ³ 

but your father has humiliated ¹  me and changed my wages ten times. But God has not permitted him to do me any harm.

We will give you our consent on this one condition: You must become ¹  like us by circumcising ²  all your males.
