Then Shaphan the scribe told the king, “Hilkiah the priest has given me a scroll.” Shaphan read it out loud before the king.

Jeroboam and all the people reported to Rehoboam on the third day, just as the king had ordered when he said, “Return to me on the third day.”

The Lord made his kingdom secure; ¹  all Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he became very wealthy and greatly respected. ² 

There were 150 Jews and officials who dined with me routinely, ¹  in addition to those who came to us from the nations ²  all around us.

But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life ¹  will be demanded back from ²  you, but who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ ³ 

Jesus said to them, ¹  “I have shown you many good deeds ²  from the Father. For which one of them are you going to stone me?”

But someone came and reported to them, “Look! The men you put in prison are standing in the temple courts ¹  and teaching ²  the people!”

Philip, however, found himself ¹  at Azotus, ²  and as he passed through the area, ³  he proclaimed the good news ⁴  to all the towns ⁵  until he came to Caesarea. ⁶ 

Now some men came down from Judea ¹  and began to teach the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised ²  according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”

And God, who knows the heart, ¹  has testified ²  to them by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us, ³ 

So they all seized Sosthenes, the president of the synagogue, ¹  and began to beat ²  him in front of the judgment seat. ³  Yet none of these things were of any concern ⁴  to Gallio.
