“If I have disregarded the right of my male servants or my female servants when they disputed ¹  with me,

They cry out, but there is no one to help them; ¹  they cry out to the Lord, ²  but he does not answer them.

Despite all this, they continued to sin, and did not trust him to do amazing things. ¹ 

They have almost destroyed me here on the earth, but I do not reject your precepts.

I stay away ¹  from the evil path, so that I might keep your instructions. ² 

Look, ambassadors ¹  cry out in the streets; messengers sent to make peace ²  weep bitterly.

“Therefore, the Lord who rules over all ¹  says, ‘You have not listened to what I said. ² 

According to their uncleanness and rebellion I have dealt with them, and I hid my face from them.

But Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.” ¹ 

So ¹  he answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

And when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.

But the one who denies me before men will be denied before God’s angels.

Although Jesus ¹  had performed ²  so many miraculous signs before them, they still refused to believe in him,

Just as you were formerly disobedient to God, but have now received mercy due to their disobedience,

And so ¹  all of them who have not believed the truth but have delighted in evil will be condemned. ² 

“There your fathers tested me and tried me, ¹  and they saw my works for forty years.

And to whom did he swear they would never enter into his rest, except those who were disobedient?

Someone who rejected the law of Moses was put to death ¹  without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. ² 

Then ¹  I saw thrones and seated on them were those who had been given authority to judge. ²  I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. These ³  had not worshiped the beast or his image and had refused to receive his mark on their forehead or hand. They ⁴  came to life ⁵  and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Then the king said to the messengers ¹  who were stationed beside him, “Turn and kill the priests of the Lord, for they too have sided ²  with David! They knew he was fleeing, but they did not inform me.” But the king’s servants refused to harm ³  the priests of the Lord.
