Have you not read this scripture: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. ¹ 

He said to them, “It is one of the twelve, one who dips his hand ¹  with me into the bowl. ² 

Then ¹  they crucified ²  him and divided his clothes, throwing dice ³  for them, to decide what each would take.

Now ¹  many have undertaken to compile an account ²  of the things ³  that have been fulfilled ⁴  among us,

for on account of him many of the Jewish people from Jerusalem ¹  were going away and believing in Jesus.

Though ¹  they found ²  no basis ³  for a death sentence, ⁴  they asked Pilate to have him executed.

Now the soldiers’ plan was to kill the prisoners ¹  so that none of them would escape by swimming away. ² 

So even David himself speaks regarding the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:

for the Lord will execute his sentence on the earth completely and quickly.” ¹ 

But it is God who establishes ¹  us together with you in Christ and who anointed us, ² 

We do not give anyone ¹  an occasion for taking an offense in anything, ²  so that no fault may be found with our ministry.

teaching about baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

Now when God made his promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself,

Aaron is to lay his two hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the iniquities of the Israelites and all their transgressions in regard to all their sins, ¹  and thus he is to put them ²  on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man standing ready. ³ 

The Lord said to him, “I have answered ¹  your prayer and your request for help that you made to me. I have consecrated this temple you built by making it my permanent home; ²  I will be constantly present there. ³ 

“You know what Joab son of Zeruiah did to me – how he murdered two commanders of the Israelite armies, Abner son of Ner and Amasa son of Jether. ¹  During peacetime he struck them down like he would in battle; ²  when he shed their blood as if in battle, he stained his own belt and the sandals on his feet. ³ 

I will place ¹  my rainbow ²  in the clouds, and it will become ³  a guarantee of the covenant between me and the earth.

Then, during the night, ¹  Abram ²  divided his forces ³  against them and defeated them. He chased them as far as Hobah, which is north ⁴  of Damascus.

So Abram ¹  took all these for him and then cut them in two ²  and placed each half opposite the other, ³  but he did not cut the birds in half.

She quickly emptied ¹  her jug into the watering trough and ran back to the well to draw more water until she had drawn enough for all his camels.
