For by the standard you judge you will be judged, and the measure you use will be the measure you receive. ¹ 

Shortly after his rise to power, ¹  his kingdom will be broken up and distributed toward the four winds of the sky ²  – but not to his posterity or with the authority he exercised, for his kingdom will be uprooted and distributed to others besides these.

Then he led me toward the south. I saw ¹  a gate on the south. He measured its jambs and its porches; they had the same dimensions as the others.

So anyone who breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches others ¹  to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever obeys them and teaches others to do so will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Also some of the Epicurean ¹  and Stoic ²  philosophers were conversing ³  with him, and some were asking, ⁴  “What does this foolish babbler ⁵  want to say?” Others said, “He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods.” ⁶  (They said this because he was proclaiming the good news about Jesus and the resurrection.) ⁷ 

They are exalted for a little while, and then they are gone, ¹  they are brought low ²  like all others, and gathered in, ³  and like a head of grain they are cut off.’ ⁴

Now Elihu had waited before speaking ¹  to Job, because the others ²  were older than he was.

They are immune to the trouble common to men; they do not suffer as other men do. ¹ 

A kind person ¹  benefits ²  himself, ³  but a cruel person brings himself trouble. ⁴

that is, that we may be mutually comforted by one another’s faith, ¹  both yours and mine.

Those guilty of sin ¹  must be rebuked ²  before all, ³  as a warning to the rest. ⁴ 

At times you were publicly exposed to abuse and afflictions, and at other times you came to share with others who were treated in that way.
