Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” ¹ 

For since you are so wise, you put up with ¹  fools gladly.

Are they servants of Christ? (I am talking like I am out of my mind!) I am even more so: with much greater labors, with far more imprisonments, with more severe beatings, facing death many times.

You must not go after other gods, those ¹  of the surrounding peoples,

If my heart has been enticed by a woman, and I have lain in wait at my neighbor’s door, ¹ 

His victims are crushed and beaten down; they are trapped in his sturdy nets. ¹ 

A man who commits adultery with a woman lacks wisdom, ¹  whoever does it destroys his own life. ² 

What the righteous say ¹  is like ²  the best ³  silver, but what the wicked think ⁴  is of little value. ⁵ 

The one who associates ¹  with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. ² 

Every wise woman ¹  builds ²  her household, ³  but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands.

When a scorner is punished, the naive ¹  becomes wise; when a wise person is instructed, ²  he gains knowledge.

There is desirable treasure and olive oil ¹  in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish person ²  devours all he has. ³ 

The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of merrymaking. ¹ 

It is better for a person to receive ¹  a rebuke from those who are wise ²  than to listen to the song ³  of fools.

Do not let yourself be quickly provoked, ¹  for anger resides in the lap ²  of fools.

Egypt will not be able to do a thing, head or tail, shoots and stalk. ¹ 

Look, you are nothing, and your accomplishments are nonexistent; the one who chooses to worship you is disgusting. ¹ 

But Jesus realized their evil intentions and said, “Hypocrites! Why are you testing me?

So it is with the one who stores up riches for himself, ¹  but is not rich toward God.”

I wish that you would be patient with me in a little foolishness, but indeed you are being patient with me!
