By faith he left Egypt without fearing the king’s anger, for he persevered as though he could see the one who is invisible.

God ¹  may let them rest in a feeling of security, ²  but he is constantly watching ³  all their ways. ⁴ 

Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind: ² 

Can you tie the bands ¹  of the Pleiades, or release the cords of Orion?

From there it spots ¹  its prey, ²  its eyes gaze intently from a distance.

Then the Lord answered Job from the whirlwind:

Their prosperity causes them to do wrong; ¹  their thoughts are sinful. ² 

How desolate they become in a mere moment! Terrifying judgments make their demise complete! ¹ 

to guard ¹  the paths of the righteous ²  and to protect ³  the way of his pious ones. ⁴ 

Discretion ¹  will protect you, ²  understanding will guard you,

he winks with his eyes, signals with his feet, and points with his fingers; ¹ 

He will be beaten and despised, ¹  and his reproach will not be wiped away; ² 

The eyes of the Lord ¹  are in every place, keeping watch ²  on those who are evil and those who are good.

ע (Ayin) Tears flow from my eyes ¹  and will not stop; there will be no break ² 

until the Lord looks down from heaven and sees what has happened. ¹ 

Peter looked directly ¹  at him (as did John) and said, “Look at us!”

If they were all the same member, where would the body be?

But some wicked men ¹  said, “How can this man save us?” They despised him and did not even bring him a gift. But Saul said nothing about it. ² 

I will favor the honest people of the land, ¹  and allow them to live with me. ²  Those who walk in the way of integrity will attend me. ³ 

But if you will not pay attention to this warning, ¹  I will weep alone because of your arrogant pride. I will weep bitterly and my eyes will overflow with tears ²  because you, the Lord’s flock, ³  will be carried ⁴  into exile.”
