Be careful to observe ¹  the Sabbath day just as the Lord your God has commanded you.

So keep the commandments, statutes, and ordinances that I today am commanding you to do.

Make sure you do not turn away to serve and worship other gods! ¹ 

When you go out as an army against your enemies, guard yourselves against anything impure. ¹ 

Jeroboam then thought to himself: ¹  “Now the Davidic dynasty could regain the kingdom. ² 

Exercise appropriate caution so that there is no negligence in this matter. Why should danger increase to the point that kings sustain damage?”

Would it turn out well if he would examine ¹  you? Or as one deceives ²  a man would you deceive him?

Take heed, do not turn to evil, for because of this you have been tested ¹  by affliction.

My child, ²  keep my words and treasure up my commands in your own keeping. ³ 

The one who spares his rod ¹  hates ²  his child, ³  but the one who loves his child ⁴  is diligent ⁵  in disciplining ⁶  him.

Here then is what the Lord who rules over all says: ‘Think carefully about what you are doing. ¹ 

And they saw that some of Jesus’ disciples ate their bread with unclean hands, that is, unwashed.

A disciple ¹  is not greater than ²  his teacher, but everyone when fully trained will be like his teacher.

But the Lord ¹  answered her, ²  “Martha, Martha, ³  you are worried and troubled ⁴  about many things,

So ¹  do not be overly concerned about ²  what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not worry about such things. ³ 

Then he said to the council, ¹  “Men of Israel, ²  pay close attention to ³  what you are about to do to these men.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil; consider what is good before all people. ¹ 

However, if you continually bite and devour one another, ¹  beware that you are not consumed ²  by one another.

if indeed you heard about him and were taught in him, just as the truth is in Jesus.

Therefore we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.
