So he went down and dipped in the Jordan seven times, as the prophet had instructed. ¹  His skin became as smooth as a young child’s ²  and he was healed.

The Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ But go ¹  to whomever I send you and say whatever I tell you.

Now therefore kill every boy, ¹  and kill every woman who has had sexual intercourse with a man. ² 

Saul said to him, “Whose son are you, young man?” David replied, “I am the son of your servant Jesse in Bethlehem.” ¹ 

The boy grew and one day he went out to see his father who was with the harvest workers. ¹ 

Folly is bound up ¹  in the heart of a child, ²  but the rod of discipline ³  will drive it far from him.

Woe to you, O land, when your king is childish, ¹  and your princes feast in the morning!

Indeed, they will hear meaningless gibberish, senseless babbling, a syllable here, a syllable there. ¹ 

So ¹  the dead man ²  sat up and began to speak, and Jesus ³  gave him back ⁴  to his mother.

When her labor was at its hardest, ¹  the midwife said to her, “Don’t be afraid, for you are having another son.” ² 

But ¹  the midwives feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them; they let the boys live. ² 

When she bore ¹  a son, Moses ²  named him Gershom, for he said, “I have become a resident foreigner in a foreign land.” ³ 

and her two sons, one of whom was named Gershom (for Moses ¹  had said, “I have been a foreigner in a foreign land”),

If the person is from five years old up to twenty years old, the conversion value of the male is twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

So Saul said to his servant, “That’s a good idea! ¹  Come on. Let’s go.” So they went to the town where the man of God was.

There was nothing missing, whether small or great. He retrieved sons and daughters, the plunder, and everything else they had taken. ¹  David brought everything back.

Then David prayed to ¹  God for the child and fasted. ²  He would even ³  go and spend the night lying on the ground.

and sent word through Nathan the prophet that he should be named Jedidiah ¹  for the Lord’s sake.

The king then said, “Cut the living child in two, and give half to one and half to the other!”

The king responded, “Give the first woman the living child; don’t kill him. She is the mother.”
