I will stretch out my hand against them ¹  and make the land a desolate waste from the wilderness to Riblah, ²  in all the places where they live. Then they will know that I am the Lord!”

The wind ¹  blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” ² 

And you must not eat any blood of the birds or the domesticated land animals in any of the places where you live. ¹ 

You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. ¹ 

You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out. ¹ 

The priests and Levites who lived throughout Israel supported him, no matter where they resided. ¹ 

And the rest of the Israelites, with the priests and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, each on his own property.

And its young ones devour the blood, and where the dead carcasses ¹  are, there it is.”

He does whatever he pleases in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all the ocean depths.

Lend your aid ¹  and come, all you surrounding nations, and gather yourselves ²  to that place.” Bring down, O Lord, your warriors! ³ 

Thus I will strengthen them by my power, ¹  and they will walk about ²  in my name,” says the Lord.

For where two or three are assembled in my name, I am there among them.”

A large crowd was following him because they were observing the miraculous signs he was performing on the sick.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, ¹  there is freedom.

in whom we have boldness and confident access ¹  to God ²  because of ³  Christ’s ⁴  faithfulness. ⁵ 

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content in any circumstance.

So I want the men ¹  to pray ²  in every place, lifting up holy hands ³  without anger or dispute.

“When you direct your people to march out and fight their enemies, ¹  and they direct their prayers to the Lord ²  toward his chosen city and this temple I built for your honor, ³ 

Then you will know that I am the Lord – when their dead lie among their idols around their altars, on every high hill and all the mountaintops, under every green tree and every leafy oak, ¹  the places where they have offered fragrant incense to all their idols.

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” ¹  And he replied, “I don’t know! Am I my brother’s guardian?” ²
