Relent, ¹  let there be no falsehood; ²  reconsider, ³  for my righteousness is intact! ⁴ 

Then ¹  would I speak and not fear him, but it is not so with me. ² 

God abandons me to evil ¹  men, ²  and throws ³  me into the hands of wicked men.

and ¹  he contends with God on behalf of man as a man ²  pleads ³  for his friend.

The earth takes shape like clay under a seal; ¹  its features ²  are dyed ³  like a garment.

Because of my condition, ¹  even my friends and acquaintances keep their distance; ²  my neighbors stand far away. ³ 

when God arose to execute judgment, and to deliver all the oppressed of the earth. (Selah)

For I say, “Loyal love is permanently established; ¹  in the skies you set up your faithfulness.” ² 

He always remembers his covenantal decree, the promise he made ¹  to a thousand generations –

For the Lord vindicates ¹  his people, and has compassion on his servants. ² 

She has sent out her female servants; she calls out on the highest places ¹  of the city.

No one ¹  can be established ²  through wickedness, but a righteous root ³  cannot be moved.

The Lord tears down the house of the proud, ¹  but he maintains the boundaries of the widow. ² 

So they approached the king and said to him, ¹  “Did you not issue an edict to the effect that for the next thirty days anyone who prays to any god or human other than to you, O king, would be thrown into a den of lions?” The king replied, “That is correct, ²  according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be changed.”

And when the grain is ripe, he sends in the sickle ¹  because the harvest has come.” ² 

When a strong man, ¹  fully armed, guards his own palace, ²  his possessions are safe. ³ 

because a door of great opportunity stands wide open for me, ¹  but there are many opponents.

but the word of the Lord ¹  endures forever. ²  And this is the word that was proclaimed to you.

He hung the king of Ai on a tree, leaving him exposed until evening. ¹  At sunset Joshua ordered that his corpse be taken down from the tree. ²  They threw it down at the entrance of the city gate and erected over it a large pile of stones (it remains to this very day). ³ 

The altar was of wood, 5¼ feet ¹  high, with its length 3½ feet; ²  its corners, its length, ³  and its walls were of wood. He said to me, “This is the table that is before the Lord.”
