Then Saul said, “Listen, son of Ahitub.” He replied, “Here I am, my lord.”

But the king said, “You will surely die, Ahimelech, you and all your father’s house!

When the king of Israel saw them, he asked Elisha, “Should I strike them down, ¹  my master?” ² 

When Jehu came through the gate, she said, “Is everything all right, Zimri, murderer of his master?” ¹ 

The Lord thundered ¹  in ²  the sky; the sovereign One ³  shouted. ⁴ 

Your enemies roar ¹  in the middle of your sanctuary; ²  they set up their battle flags. ³ 

For you, O Lord, have made me happy by your work. I will sing for joy because of what you have done. ¹ 

Then the herald ¹  made a loud ²  proclamation: “To you, O peoples, nations, and language groups, the following command is given: ³ 

Then ¹  they said, “Why do we need further testimony? We have heard it ourselves ²  from his own lips!” ³ 

he said with a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet.” ¹  And the man ²  leaped up and began walking. ³ 

When ¹  they had brought them ²  before the magistrates, they said, “These men are throwing our city into confusion. ³  They are ⁴  Jews

When ¹  they heard ²  this they became enraged ³  and began to shout, ⁴  “Great is Artemis ⁵  of the Ephesians!”

All three units blew their trumpets and broke their jars. They held the torches in their left hand and the trumpets in their right. ¹  Then they yelled, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!”

When he arrived in Lehi, the Philistines shouted as they approached him. But the Lord’s spirit empowered ¹  him. The ropes around his arms were like flax dissolving in ²  fire, and they ³  melted away from his hands.

Then the men of Israel and Judah charged forward, shouting a battle cry. ¹  They chased the Philistines to the valley ²  and to the very gates of Ekron. The Philistine corpses lay fallen along the Shaaraim road to Gath and Ekron.

Then she saw ¹  the king standing by his pillar at the entrance. The officers and trumpeters stood beside the king and all the people of the land were celebrating and blowing trumpets, and the musicians with various instruments were leading the celebration. Athaliah tore her clothes and yelled, “Treason! Treason!” ² 

But the Lord’s angel ¹  called to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Here I am!” he answered.

The king of Egypt said to them, “Moses and Aaron, why do you cause the people to refrain from their work? ¹  Return to your labor!”

And Balaam said to the donkey, “You have made me look stupid; I wish ¹  there were a sword in my hand, for I would kill you right now.”

They stood in order ¹  all around the camp. The whole army ran away; they shouted as they scrambled away. ²
