I furthermore admonished your judges at that time that they ¹  should pay attention to issues among your fellow citizens ²  and judge fairly, ³  whether between one citizen and another ⁴  or a citizen and a resident foreigner. ⁵

There ¹  an upright person could present his case ²  before him, and I would be delivered forever from my judge.

I put on righteousness and it clothed me, ¹  my just dealing ²  was like a robe and a turban;

I was a father ¹  to the needy, and I investigated the case of the person I did not know;

God is a just judge; he is angry throughout the day. ¹ 

It is as if I have been given fertile fields or received a beautiful tract of land. ¹ 

For you bring him ¹  rich ²  blessings; ³  you place a golden crown on his head.

For ¹  the Lord’s decrees ²  are just, ³  and everything he does is fair. ⁴
