It is written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. ¹ 

Jesus answered them, “I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  everyone who practices ²  sin is a slave ³  of sin.

And because they saw the man who had been healed standing with them, they had nothing to say against this. ¹ 

Great ¹  fear gripped ²  the whole church ³  and all who heard about these things.

All ¹  those who lived in Lydda ²  and Sharon ³  saw him, and they ⁴  turned ⁵  to the Lord.

who will speak a message ¹  to you by which you and your entire household will be saved.’

for he refuted the Jews vigorously ¹  in public debate, ²  demonstrating from the scriptures that the Christ ³  was Jesus. ⁴ 

So because these facts ¹  are indisputable, ²  you must keep quiet ³  and not do anything reckless. ⁴ 

For if Abraham was declared righteous ¹  by the works of the law, he has something to boast about – but not before God.

But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

But now it is no longer me doing it, but sin that lives in me.

So, I find the law that when I want to do good, evil is present with me.

Is Christ divided? Paul wasn’t crucified for you, was he? ¹  Or were you in fact baptized in the name of Paul? ² 

Am I saying that idols or food sacrificed to them amount to anything?

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.

For there must in fact be divisions among you, so that those of you who are approved may be evident. ¹ 

because he not only accepted our request, but since he was very eager, ¹  he is coming ²  to you of his own accord. ³ 

if indeed you heard about him and were taught in him, just as the truth is in Jesus.

In my zeal for God I persecuted the church. According to the righteousness stipulated in the law I was blameless.

these are only ¹  the shadow of the things to come, but the reality ²  is Christ! ³
