So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

He was in the world, and the world was created ¹  by him, but ²  the world did not recognize ³  him.

In any case, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.

so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow – in heaven and on earth and under the earth –

He said, “See, I am going to make ¹  a covenant before all your people. I will do wonders such as have not been done ²  in all the earth, nor in any nation. All the people among whom you live will see the work of the Lord, for it is a fearful thing that I am doing with you. ³ 

The Lord God planted an orchard ¹  in the east, ²  in Eden; ³  and there he placed the man he had formed. ⁴ 

All the nations, whom you created, will come and worship you, ¹  O Lord. They will honor your name.

Even before the mountains came into existence, ¹  or you brought the world into being, ²  you were the eternal God. ³ 

Praise the Lord, all that he has made, ¹  in all the regions ²  of his kingdom! Praise the Lord, O my soul!

This alone have I discovered: God made humankind upright, but they have sought many evil schemes.

And now, Father, glorify me at your side ¹  with the glory I had with you before the world was created. ² 

For in him we live and move about ¹  and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we too are his offspring.’ ² 

So then, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; what is old has passed away ¹  – look, what is new ²  has come! ³ 

At the present time, your abundance will meet their need, ¹  so that one day their abundance may also meet your need, and thus there may be equality,

So put to death whatever in your nature belongs to the earth: ¹  sexual immorality, impurity, shameful passion, ²  evil desire, and greed which is idolatry.

So then let those who suffer according to the will of God entrust their souls to a faithful Creator as they do good. ¹ 

and saying, ¹  “Where is his promised return? ²  For ever since ³  our ancestors ⁴  died, ⁵  all things have continued as they were ⁶  from the beginning of creation.”

Then ¹  I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had ceased to exist, ²  and the sea existed no more.
