Hasn’t he treated us like foreigners? He not only sold us, but completely wasted ¹  the money paid for us! ² 

But you ¹  said, ‘I will certainly make you prosper ²  and will make ³  your descendants like the sand on the seashore, too numerous to count.’” ⁴ 

The silver of those who were numbered of the community was one hundred talents and 1,775 shekels, ¹  according to the sanctuary shekel,

These were the men whom Moses and Aaron numbered ¹  along with the twelve leaders of Israel, each of whom ²  was from his own family.

All the Israelites who were twenty years old or older, who could serve in Israel’s army, were numbered ¹  according to their families.

So they got up and crossed over by number: twelve belonging to Benjamin and to Ish-bosheth son of Saul, and twelve from the servants of David.

and more cedar logs than could be counted. (The Sidonians and Tyrians had brought a large amount of cedar logs to David.)

This desolation will continue until new life is poured out on us from heaven. ¹  Then the desert will become an orchard and the orchard will be considered a forest. ² 

I will make the children who follow one another in the line of my servant David very numerous. I will also make the Levites who minister before me very numerous. I will make them all as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sands which are on the seashore.’” ¹ 

The population of Egypt is like a vast, impenetrable forest. But I, the Lord, affirm ¹  that the enemy will cut them down. For those who chop them down will be more numerous than locusts. They will be too numerous to count. ² 

and said, “What will you give me to betray him into your hands?” ¹  So they set out thirty silver coins for him.

But if we say, ‘From people – ’” (they feared the crowd, for they all considered John to be truly a prophet).

But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous, ¹  his faith is credited as righteousness.

And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Now Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness,” ¹  and he was called God’s friend. ² 

My integrity will testify for me ¹  later on. ²  When you come to verify that I’ve taken only the wages we agreed on, ³  if I have in my possession any goat that is not speckled or spotted or any sheep that is not dark-colored, it will be considered stolen.” ⁴ 

And all those numbered totaled 603,550.

He does ¹  great and unsearchable ²  things, marvelous things without ³  number; ⁴ 

Before his time ¹  he will be paid in full, ²  and his branches will not flourish. ³ 

Even all the hairs on your head are numbered.

blessed is the one ¹  against whom the Lord will never count ²  sin.” ³
