Solomon acquired horses from Egypt and from all the lands.

He pours contempt on noblemen and disarms ¹  the powerful. ² 

as you come out of your temple in Jerusalem! ¹  Kings bring tribute to you.

You broke open the spring and the stream; ¹  you dried up perpetually flowing rivers. ² 

He has taken away my strength in the middle of life; ¹  he has cut short my days.

The Lord rebuilds Jerusalem, ¹  and gathers the exiles of Israel.

Fools mock ¹  at reparation, ²  but among the upright there is favor. ³ 

She is like ¹  the merchant ships; ²  she brings her food from afar.

I can clothe the sky in darkness; I can cover it with sackcloth.”

“Something horrible and shocking is going on in the land of Judah:

and he would not permit anyone to carry merchandise ¹  through the temple courts. ² 

Then ¹  they departed and went throughout ²  the villages, proclaiming the good news ³  and healing people everywhere.

But now I go to Jerusalem to minister to the saints.

But you yourselves wrong and cheat, and you do this to your brothers and sisters! ¹ 

gentleness, and ¹  self-control. Against such things there is no law.

I am about to bring ¹  floodwaters ²  on the earth to destroy ³  from under the sky all the living creatures that have the breath of life in them. ⁴  Everything that is on the earth will die,

Now listen to me, ¹  I will give you advice, and may God be with you: You be a representative for the people to God, ²  and you bring ³  their disputes ⁴  to God;

The Lord said to him, “Go, get down, and come up, and Aaron with you, but do not let the priests and the people force their way through to come up to the Lord, lest he break through against them.”

They came, men and women alike, ¹  all who had willing hearts. They brought brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments, all kinds of gold jewelry, ²  and everyone came who waved ³  a wave offering of gold to the Lord.

And those men said to him, “We are ceremonially defiled by the dead body of a man; why are we kept back from offering the Lord’s offering at its appointed time among the Israelites?”
