On the seventeenth day of the seventh month, the ark came to rest on one of the mountains of Ararat. ¹ 

At the end of forty days, ¹  Noah opened the window he had made in the ark ² 

“Come out of the ark, you, your wife, your sons, and your sons’ wives with you.

They glide by ¹  like reed ²  boats, like an eagle that swoops ³  down on its prey. ⁴ 

So he said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.

Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

After sending away the crowd, he got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan. ¹ 

Now ¹  a great windstorm ²  developed and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was nearly swamped.

As he was getting into the boat the man who had been demon-possessed asked if he could go ¹  with him.

When evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea and he was alone on the land.

Then he went up with them into the boat, and the wind ceased. They were completely astonished,

Immediately he got into a boat with his disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha. ¹ 

Now ¹  they had forgotten to take bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat.

We put out to sea ¹  from Troas ²  and sailed a straight course ³  to Samothrace, ⁴  the next day to Neapolis, ⁵ 

From there we put out to sea ¹  and sailed under the lee ²  of Cyprus because the winds were against us.

Not long after this, a hurricane-force ¹  wind called the northeaster ²  blew down from the island. ³ 

Your wealth, products, and merchandise, your sailors and captains, your ship’s carpenters, ¹  your merchants, and all your fighting men within you, along with all your crew who are in you, will fall into the heart of the seas on the day of your downfall.

Make ¹  for yourself an ark of cypress ²  wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover ³  it with pitch inside and out.

Noah entered the ark along with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives because ¹  of the floodwaters.

The flood engulfed the earth for forty days. As the waters increased, they lifted the ark and raised it above the earth.
