The wicked person ¹  earns ²  deceitful wages, ³  but the one who sows ⁴  righteousness reaps ⁵  a genuine ⁶  reward. ⁷ 

In the path of righteousness there is life, but another path leads to death. ¹ 

The Lord abhors ¹  the way of the wicked, but he loves those ²  who pursue ³  righteousness.

Doing wickedness ¹  is an abomination to kings, because a throne ²  is established in righteousness.

remove the wicked from before the king, ¹  and his throne ²  will be established in righteousness. ³ 

The Lord is exalted, ¹  indeed, ²  he lives in heaven; ³  he fills Zion with justice and fairness.

I will denounce your so-called righteousness and your deeds, ¹  but they will not help you.

“Blessed are those who hunger ¹  and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.

But above all pursue his kingdom ¹  and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

For what does the scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited ¹  to him as righteousness.” ² 

So even David himself speaks regarding the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:

For Christ is the end of the law, with the result that there is righteousness for everyone who believes.

Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, ¹ 

and to put on the new man who has been created in God’s image ¹  – in righteousness and holiness that comes from truth. ² 

filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

In my zeal for God I persecuted the church. According to the righteousness stipulated in the law I was blameless.

For everyone who lives on milk is inexperienced in the message of righteousness, because he is an infant.

And the fruit that consists of righteousness ¹  is planted ²  in peace among ³  those who make peace.

For I tell you, unless your righteousness goes beyond that of the experts in the law ¹  and the Pharisees, ²  you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
