The chariots of Pharaoh ¹  and his army he has thrown into the sea, and his chosen ²  officers were drowned ³  in the Red Sea.

So they gathered it each morning, ¹  each person according to what he could eat, and when the sun got hot, it would melt. ² 

Moses chose capable men from all Israel, and he made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

When you gather the grapes of your vineyard you must not do so a second time; ¹  they should go to the resident foreigner, orphan, and widow.

He happened to see ¹  a solid ²  jawbone of a donkey. He grabbed it ³  and struck down ⁴  a thousand men.

Among this army ¹  were seven hundred specially-trained left-handed soldiers. ²  Each one could sling a stone and hit even the smallest target. ³ 

So he picked him up and took him to his mother. He sat on her lap ¹  until noon and then died.

So they picked two horsemen and the king sent them out to track the Syrian army. ¹  He ordered them, “Go and find out what’s going on.” ² 

Abijah and his army thoroughly defeated them; ¹  500,000 well-trained Israelite men fell dead. ² 

Realize that ¹  the Lord shows the godly special favor; ²  the Lord responds ³  when I cry out to him.

But then one of the seraphs flew toward me. In his hand was a hot coal he had taken from the altar with tongs.

Then a wind lifted me up ¹  and I heard a great rumbling sound behind me as the glory of the Lord rose from its place, ² 

As he spoke with me, I fell into a trance with my face to the ground. But he touched me and stood me upright. ¹ 

“I have chosen ¹  you alone from all the clans of the earth. Therefore I will punish you for all your sins.”

The commander ¹  orders ²  his officers; they stumble ³  as they advance; ⁴  they rush to the city wall ⁵  and they set up ⁶  the covered siege tower. ⁷ 

When it was full, they pulled it ashore, sat down, and put the good fish into containers and threw the bad away.

When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you pick up?” They replied, “Twelve.”

Then he will send angels and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven. ¹ 

Then ¹  when Jesus ²  noticed how the guests ³  chose the places of honor, ⁴  he told them a parable. He said to them,

So Saul got up from the ground, but although his eyes were open, ¹  he could see nothing. ²  Leading him by the hand, his companions ³  brought him into Damascus.
