May grace and peace be lavished on you ¹  as you grow ²  in the rich knowledge ³  of God and of Jesus our Lord! ⁴ 

“Do not hold back offerings from your granaries or your vats. ¹  You must give me the firstborn of your sons.

This is the law of the one in whom there is a diseased infection, ¹  who does not have sufficient means for his purification.” ²

The rest of the needs for the temple of your God that you may have to supply, ¹  you may do so from the royal treasury.

Yet ¹  if he is caught ²  he must repay ³  seven times over, he might even have to give ⁴  all the wealth of his house.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied to King Nebuchadnezzar, ¹  “We do not need to give you a reply ²  concerning this.

Draw yourselves water for a siege! ¹  Strengthen your fortifications! Trample the mud ²  and tread the clay! Make mud bricks to strengthen your walls! ³ 

Although it grieved the king, ¹  because of his oath and the dinner guests he commanded it to be given.

When his family ¹  heard this they went out to restrain him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”

When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come. ¹ 

But Peter ¹  insisted emphatically, ²  “Even if I must die with you, I will never deny you.” And all of them said the same thing.

Now ¹  when the time came for their ²  purification according to the law of Moses, Joseph and Mary ³  brought Jesus ⁴  up to Jerusalem ⁵  to present him to the Lord

But ¹  he replied, ²  “Why were you looking for me? ³  Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?” ⁴ 

Jesus ¹  said to his disciples, “Stumbling blocks are sure to come, but woe ²  to the one through whom they come!

and said to them, “Thus it stands written that the Christ ¹  would suffer ²  and would rise from the dead on the third day,
