When all the flocks were gathered there, the shepherds ¹  would roll the stone off the mouth of the well and water the sheep. Then they would put the stone back in its place over the well’s mouth.

Now ¹  the beast that I saw was like a leopard, but its feet were like a bear’s, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. The ²  dragon gave the beast ³  his power, his throne, and great authority to rule. ⁴ 

The godly speak wise words and promote justice. ¹ 

Remove perverse speech ¹  from your mouth; ²  keep devious talk far from your lips. ³ 

So now, sons, ¹  listen to me, and pay attention to the words I speak. ² 

Those who are wise ¹  store up ²  knowledge, but foolish speech ³  leads to imminent ⁴  destruction.

The tongue of the wise ¹  treats knowledge correctly, ²  but the mouth of the fool spouts out ³  folly.

Open your mouth, judge in righteousness, ¹  and plead the cause ²  of the poor and needy.

“As for me, this is my promise to ¹  them,” says the Lord. “My spirit, who is upon you, and my words, which I have placed in your mouth, will not depart from your mouth or from the mouths of your children and descendants from this time forward,” ²  says the Lord.

Let him bury his face in the dust; ¹  perhaps there is hope.

So now go, and I will be with your mouth ¹  and will teach you ²  what you must say.” ³ 

Balaam replied, ¹  “Must I not be careful ²  to speak what the Lord has put in my mouth?” ³ 

As she continued praying to ¹  the Lord, Eli was watching her mouth.

Although I am innocent, ¹  my mouth ²  would condemn me; ³  although I am blameless, it would declare me perverse. ⁴
