When all the Israelites who had hidden themselves in the hill country of Ephraim heard that the Philistines had fled, they too pursued them in battle.

The four wheels were under the frames and the crossbars of the axles were connected to the stand. Each wheel was two and one-quarter feet ¹  high.

These were the men who joined David in Ziklag, when he was banished ¹  from the presence of Saul son of Kish. (They were among the warriors who assisted him in battle.

Likewise one of the second cherub’s wings was seven and one-half feet long and touched the other wall of the temple; its other wing was also seven and one-half feet long and touched one of the first cherub’s wings. ¹ 

Lawless good-for-nothing men ¹  gathered around him and conspired ²  against Rehoboam son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was an inexperienced young man ³  and could not resist them.

The Lord will certainly have compassion on Jacob; ¹  he will again choose Israel as his special people ²  and restore ³  them to their land. Resident foreigners will join them and unite with the family ⁴  of Jacob.

Now David ¹  had been told, “Ahithophel has sided with the conspirators who are with Absalom. So David prayed, ²  “Make the advice of Ahithophel foolish, O Lord!”

So he went and worked for ¹  one of the citizens of that country, who ²  sent him to his fields to feed pigs. ³ 

He made fifty bronze clasps to join the tent together so that it might be a unit. ¹ 

From the sky ¹  the stars ²  fought, from their paths in the heavens ³  they fought against Sisera.

Then David passed away ¹  and was buried in the city of David. ² 

Menahem passed away ¹  and his son Pekahiah replaced him as king.

Some from Benjamin and Judah also came to David’s stronghold.

You clothed ¹  me with skin and flesh and knit me together ²  with bones and sinews.

when the waters become hard ¹  like stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen solid?
