You march out to deliver your people, to deliver your special servant. ¹  You strike the leader of the wicked nation, ²  laying him open from the lower body to the neck. ³  Selah.

In the third month they began piling their contributions in heaps ¹  and finished in the seventh month.

He established the earth on its foundations; it will never be upended.

During Ahab’s reign, ¹  Hiel the Bethelite rebuilt Jericho. ²  Abiram, his firstborn son, died when he laid the foundation; ³  Segub, his youngest son, died when he erected its gates, ⁴  just as the Lord had warned ⁵  through Joshua son of Nun. ⁶ 

They established the altar on its foundations, even though they were in terror of the local peoples, ¹  and they offered burnt offerings on it to the Lord, both the morning and the evening offerings.

He is your constant source of stability; ¹  he abundantly provides safety and great wisdom; ²  he gives all this to those who fear him. ³ 

“O afflicted one, driven away, ¹  and unconsoled! Look, I am about to set your stones in antimony and I lay your foundation with lapis-lazuli.

Now therefore reflect carefully on the recent past, ¹  before one stone was laid on another in the Lord’s temple. ² 

On what ¹  were its bases ²  set, or who laid its cornerstone –

By wisdom the Lord laid the foundation of the earth; ¹  he established the heavens by understanding. ² 

You ¹  build Zion through bloody crimes, ²  Jerusalem ³  through unjust violence.

The primary regions ¹  of his kingdom were Babel, ²  Erech, ³  Akkad, ⁴  and Calneh ⁵  in the land of Shinar. ⁶ 

For I say, “Loyal love is permanently established; ¹  in the skies you set up your faithfulness.” ² 

Doing wickedness ¹  is an abomination to kings, because a throne ²  is established in righteousness.

So that ¹  your confidence may be in the Lord, I am making them known to you today ²  – even you.

Just as there is futility in many dreams, so also in many words. ¹  Therefore, fear God!

and the chambers of the court was 35 feet ¹  in width all around the temple on every side.

But the Lord is faithful, and he ¹  will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see.

But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith, by praying in the Holy Spirit, ¹
