The one who walks blamelessly will be delivered, ¹  but whoever is perverse in his ways will fall ²  at once. ³ 

He ¹  asked for a writing tablet ²  and wrote, ³  “His name is John.” And they were all amazed. ⁴ 

Then he said to the council, ¹  “Men of Israel, ²  pay close attention to ³  what you are about to do to these men.

So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if you are ¹  a son, then you are also an heir through God. ² 

Also, if anyone competes as an athlete, he will not be crowned as the winner ¹  unless he competes according to the rules. ² 

“If men fight and hit a pregnant woman and her child is born prematurely, ¹  but there is no serious injury, he will surely be punished in accordance with what the woman’s husband demands of him, and he will pay what the court decides. ² 

The half-portion of those who went to war numbered 337,500 sheep;

Then the border will continue down the Jordan River ¹  and its direction will be to the Salt Sea. This will be your land by its borders that surround it.’”

Go to the king and speak to him in the following fashion.” Then Joab told her what to say. ¹

So these supervisors and satraps came by collusion ¹  to the king and said ²  to him, “O King Darius, live forever!
