The wicked will be thrown down in his trouble, ¹  but the righteous have refuge ²  even in the threat of death. ³ 

A person has joy ¹  in giving an appropriate answer, ²  and a word at the right time ³  – how good it is!

The sluggard will not plow ¹  during the planting season, ²  so at harvest time he looks ³  for the crop ⁴  but has nothing.

The one who covers ¹  his transgressions will not prosper, ²  but whoever confesses them and forsakes them will find mercy. ³ 

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.
