Wisdom is directly in front of ¹  the discerning person, but the eyes of a fool run ²  to the ends of the earth. ³ 

With bow and arrow ¹  men will hunt ²  there, for the whole land will be covered ³  with thorns and briers.

The slain will fall among you and then you will know that I am the Lord. ¹ 

Lend your aid ¹  and come, all you surrounding nations, and gather yourselves ²  to that place.” Bring down, O Lord, your warriors! ³ 

Be silent in the Lord’s presence, all people everywhere, ¹  for he is being moved to action in his holy dwelling place. ² 

because you will be his witness ¹  to all people ²  of what you have seen and heard.

And there are different results, but the same God who produces all of them in everyone.

God saw the earth, and indeed ¹  it was ruined, ²  for all living creatures ³  on the earth were sinful. ⁴ 

The waters completely inundated ¹  the earth so that even ²  all the high mountains under the entire sky were covered.

But the more the Egyptians ¹  oppressed them, the more they multiplied and spread. ²  As a result the Egyptians loathed ³  the Israelites,

When ¹  the magicians attempted ²  to bring forth gnats by their secret arts, they could not. So there were gnats on people and on animals.

You will have olive trees throughout your territory but you will not anoint yourself with olive oil, because the olives will drop off the trees while still unripe. ¹ 

I am handing over to you every place you set foot, as I promised Moses. ¹ 

The people ¹  who did not die were struck with sores; the city’s cry for help went all the way up to heaven.

Solomon plated the inside of the temple with gold. ¹  He hung golden chains in front of the inner sanctuary and plated the inner sanctuary ²  with gold.

He plated the entire inside of the temple with gold, as well as the altar inside the inner sanctuary. ¹ 

Sure enough, the next morning, at the time of the morning sacrifice, water came flowing down from Edom and filled the land. ¹ 

He said, “Go and ask all your neighbors for empty containers. ¹  Get as many as you can. ² 

So David became famous ¹  in all the lands; the Lord caused all the nations to fear him. ² 

He placed garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites became David’s subjects. The Lord protected ¹  David wherever he campaigned. ²
