For everyone who asks ¹  receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door ²  will be opened.

For sadness as intended by God produces a repentance that leads to salvation, leaving no regret, but worldly sadness brings about death.

And if we put bits into the mouths of horses to get them to obey us, then we guide their entire bodies. ¹

The prophets prophesy lies. The priests exercise power by their own authority. ¹  And my people love to have it this way. But they will not be able to help you when the time of judgment comes! ²

Their wicked deeds do not allow them to return to their God; because a spirit of idolatry ¹  controls their heart, ²  and they do not acknowledge the Lord.
