I rashly declared, ¹  “All men are liars.”

They said ¹  to King Nebuchadnezzar, “O king, live forever! ² 

The man ¹  said to him, “Teacher, I have wholeheartedly obeyed ²  all these laws ³  since my youth.” ⁴ 

Gazing at Jesus as he walked by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!” ¹ 

The one who has accepted his testimony has confirmed clearly that God is truthful. ¹ 

Jesus said to her, “I, the one speaking to you, am he.”

(For Jesus himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.) ¹ 

The officers replied, “No one ever spoke like this man!”

and when he had explained everything to them, he sent them to Joppa.

for they heard them speaking in tongues and praising ¹  God. Then Peter said,

But the statement it was credited to him ¹  was not written only for Abraham’s ²  sake,

“As I swore in my anger, ‘They will never enter my rest!’” ¹ 

For here is the testimony about him: ¹  “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.” ² 

and they assembled ¹  the entire community together on the first day of the second month. ²  Then the people recorded their ancestry ³  by their clans and families, and the men who were twenty years old or older were listed ⁴  by name individually,

You have kept your word to your servant, my father David; ¹  this very day you have fulfilled what you promised. ² 

you asked, ¹  ‘Who is this who darkens counsel without knowledge?’ But ²  I have declared without understanding ³  things too wonderful for me to know. ⁴ 

I have not failed to tell about your justice; ¹  I spoke about your reliability and deliverance; I have not neglected to tell the great assembly about your loyal love and faithfulness. ² 

While these words were still on the king’s lips, ¹  a voice came down from heaven: “It is hereby announced to you, ²  King Nebuchadnezzar, that your kingdom has been removed from you!

I made known your name to them, and I will continue to make it known, ¹  so that the love you have loved me with may be in them, and I may be in them.”

When they arrived and gathered the church together, they reported ¹  all the things God ²  had done with them, and that he had opened a door ³  of faith for the Gentiles.
