Then he called the crowd to him and said, ¹  “Listen and understand.

For they said, “Not during the feast, so there won’t be a riot among the people.” ¹ 

As ¹  he rode along, they ²  spread their cloaks on the road.

As ¹  all the people were listening, Jesus ²  said to his disciples,

but I know you, that you do not have the love of God ¹  within you.

But this rabble ¹  who do not know the law are accursed!”

The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.

I will thank the Lord profusely, ¹  in the middle of a crowd ²  I will praise him,

at the head of the noisy ¹  streets she calls, in the entrances of the gates in the city ²  she utters her words: ³ 

Now when Jesus saw a large crowd ¹  around him, he gave orders to go to the other side of the lake. ² 

When Jesus entered the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the disorderly crowd,

Jesus ¹  went out again by the sea. The whole crowd came to him, and he taught them.

Now ¹  Jesus ²  went home, and a crowd gathered so that they were not able to eat.

Now ¹  when Jesus ²  had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about the parable.

Now when ¹  all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized. And while he was praying, ²  the heavens ³  opened,

Now Jesus’ ¹  mother and his brothers ²  came to him, but ³  they could not get near him because of the crowd.

Now when Jesus returned, ¹  the crowd welcomed him, because they were all waiting for him.

And all the people ¹  came to him early in the morning to listen to him in the temple courts. ² 

So ¹  Judas ²  agreed and began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus ³  when no crowd was present. ⁴ 

A great number of the people followed him, among them women ¹  who were mourning ²  and wailing for him.
