in Lod, Ono, and ¹  the Valley of the Craftsmen. ² 

All those who behave wickedly ¹  do not understand ²  – those who devour my people as if they were eating bread, and do not call out to God.

As for those who are bent on traveling a sinful path, ¹  may the Lord remove them, ²  along with those who behave wickedly! ³  May Israel experience peace! ⁴ 

“For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner ¹  who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard.

But ¹  he will reply, ²  ‘I don’t know where you come from! ³  Go away from me, all you evildoers!’ ⁴ 

I do not mean that we rule over your faith, but we are workers with you for your joy, because by faith you stand firm. ¹

They melted down the silver in the Lord’s temple ¹  and handed it over to the supervisors of the construction foremen.”

When the wicked sprout up like grass, and all the evildoers glisten, ¹  it is so that they may be annihilated. ² 

He sent it after King Jeconiah, the queen mother, the palace officials, ¹  the leaders of Judah and Jerusalem, the craftsmen, and the metal workers had been exiled from Jerusalem. ² 

He gathered ¹  these ²  together, along with the workmen in similar trades, ³  and said, “Men, you know that our prosperity ⁴  comes from this business.

Next the Lord showed me four blacksmiths. ¹ 

Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Go away from me, you lawbreakers!’ ¹ 

They lament, ¹  ‘Why don’t you notice when we fast? Why don’t you pay attention when we humble ourselves?’ Look, at the same time you fast, you satisfy your selfish desires, ²  you oppress your workers. ³ 

The king and Jehoiada gave it to the construction foremen ¹  assigned to the Lord’s temple. They hired carpenters and craftsmen to repair the Lord’s temple, as well as those skilled in working with iron and bronze to restore the Lord’s temple.

The king of Babylon deported to Babylon all the soldiers (there were 7,000), as well as 1,000 craftsmen and metal workers. This included all the best warriors. ¹ 

supervised the laborers and all the foremen on their various jobs. ¹  Some of the Levites were scribes, officials, and guards.
