But if the unbeliever wants a divorce, let it take place. In these circumstances the brother or sister is not bound. ¹  God has called you in peace.

If he came ¹  in by himself ²  he will go out by himself; if he had ³  a wife when he came in, then his wife will go out with him.

And you must tell the Israelites, ‘If a man dies ¹  and has no son, then you must transfer his inheritance to his daughter;

The earth heaved and shook; ¹  the roots of the mountains ²  trembled; ³  they heaved because he was angry.

The Lord’s shout bends ¹  the large trees ²  and strips ³  the leaves from the forests. ⁴  Everyone in his temple says, “Majestic!” ⁵ 

In a good field, by abundant waters, it was planted to grow branches, bear fruit, and become a beautiful vine.

and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? ¹ 

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife, and the two will become ¹  one flesh. ² 

They bear fruit even when they are old; they are filled with vitality and have many leaves. ¹ 

If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand be crippled! ¹ 

My strength leaves me; ¹  I am absolutely shocked. ² 

The memory ¹  of the righteous is a blessing, but the reputation ²  of the wicked will rot. ³ 

Righteousness exalts ¹  a nation, but sin is a disgrace ²  to any people.

Afterward ¹  it bites like a snake, and stings like a viper.

A king brings stability ¹  to a land ²  by justice, but one who exacts tribute ³  tears it down.

“The Lord says, ¹  ‘That is why I will scatter your people ²  like chaff that is blown away by a desert wind. ³ 

Furthermore, the Father does not judge ¹  anyone, but has assigned ²  all judgment to the Son,

The robe ¹  is to be on Aaron as he ministers, ²  and his sound will be heard ³  when he enters the Holy Place before the Lord and when he leaves, so that he does not die.

Even if only a tenth of the people remain in the land, it will again be destroyed, ¹  like one of the large sacred trees ²  or an Asherah pole, when a sacred pillar on a high place is thrown down. ³  That sacred pillar symbolizes the special chosen family.” ⁴ 

We are all like one who is unclean, all our so-called righteous acts are like a menstrual rag in your sight. ¹  We all wither like a leaf; our sins carry us away like the wind.
