“When this happens,” ¹  says the Lord, “the king and his officials will lose their courage. The priests will be struck with horror, and the prophets will be speechless in astonishment.”

So if a prophet prophesied ¹  peace and prosperity, it was only known that the Lord truly sent him when what he prophesied came true.”

Rejoice in that day, and jump for joy, because ¹  your reward is great in heaven. For their ancestors ²  did the same things to the prophets. ³ 

you may bring her back to your house. She must shave her head, ¹  trim her nails,

Such is the destiny ¹  of all who forget God; the hope of the godless ²  perishes,

If he comes by ¹  and confines ²  you ³  and convenes a court, ⁴  then who can prevent ⁵  him?

‘Surely such is the residence ¹  of an evil man; and this is the place of one who has not known God.’” ² 

He becomes the victim of his own destructive plans ¹  and the violence he intended for others falls on his own head. ² 

Such purity characterizes the people who seek his favor, Jacob’s descendants, who pray to him. ¹  (Selah)

Rouse yourself! Why do you sleep, O Lord? Wake up! ¹  Do not reject us forever!

This is the destiny of fools, ¹  and of those who approve of their philosophy. ²  (Selah)

Such ¹  are the ways ²  of all who gain profit unjustly; ³  it ⁴  takes away the life ⁵  of those who obtain it! ⁶ 

For the waywardness ¹  of the simpletons will kill ²  them, and the careless ease ³  of fools will destroy them.

“‘Do not go to a house where people are feasting and sit down to eat and drink with them either.

“Find Jeremiah ¹  and look out for him. ²  Do not do anything to harm him, ³  but do with him whatever he tells you.”

I tell you the truth, ¹  you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny! ² 

So it is with the one who stores up riches for himself, ¹  but is not rich toward God.”

So, I find the law that when I want to do good, evil is present with me.

But the fruit of the Spirit ¹  is love, ²  joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ³
