Until ¹  certain people came from James, he had been eating with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he stopped doing this ²  and separated himself ³  because he was afraid of those who were pro-circumcision. ⁴ 

These last five kings ¹  joined forces ²  in the Valley of Siddim (that is, the Salt Sea). ³ 

So the entire company of Israelites ¹  traveled from Kadesh and came to Mount Hor. ² 

The land must be divided by lot; and they will inherit in accordance with the names of their ancestral tribes.

Their inheritance must be apportioned ¹  by lot among the larger and smaller groups.

May their dining table become a trap before them! May it be a snare for that group of friends! ¹ 

Let them praise his name with dancing! Let them sing praises to him to the accompaniment of the tambourine and harp!

Its length was 175 feet ¹  on the north side, ²  and its width 87½ feet. ³ 

Then those officials who had gone to the king ¹  came by collusion and found Daniel praying and asking for help before his God.

Now some Sadducees ¹  (who contend that there is no resurrection) ²  came to him.

He was speaking and debating ¹  with the Greek-speaking Jews, ²  but they were trying to kill him.

So when they were dismissed, ¹  they went down to Antioch, ²  and after gathering the entire group ³  together, they delivered the letter.

The latter do so from love because they know that I am placed here for the defense of the gospel.

For there are many ¹  rebellious people, idle talkers, and deceivers, especially those with Jewish connections, ² 

We will take ten of every group of a hundred men from all the tribes of Israel (and a hundred of every group of a thousand, and a thousand of every group of ten thousand) to get supplies for the army. ¹  When they arrive in Gibeah of Benjamin they will punish them for the atrocity which they committed in Israel.” ² 

Afterward you will go to Gibeah of God, where there are Philistine officials. ¹  When you enter the town, you will meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place. They will have harps, tambourines, flutes, and lyres, and they will be prophesying.

May the sovereign God ¹  bless you! May he make you fruitful and give you a multitude of descendants! ²  Then you will become ³  a large nation. ⁴
