“But you made the Nazirites drink wine; ¹  you commanded the prophets, ‘Do not prophesy!’

So then, don’t worry saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’

And after taking the cup and giving thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you,

So ¹  do not be overly concerned about ²  what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not worry about such things. ³ 

A Samaritan woman ¹  came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me some water ²  to drink.”

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.

(Stop drinking just water, but use a little wine for your digestion ¹  and your frequent illnesses.) ² 

Then he set up the peeled branches in all the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink. He set up the branches in front of the flocks when they were in heat and came to drink. ¹ 

He said to her, “Give me a little water to drink, because I’m thirsty.” She opened a goatskin container of milk and gave him some milk to drink. Then she covered him up again.

Jesus ¹  answered, “You don’t know what you are asking! ²  Are you able to drink the cup I am about to drink?” ³  They said to him, “We are able.” ⁴ 

I ¹  tell you, from now on I will not drink of this fruit ²  of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

But Jesus said to them, “You don’t know what you are asking! Are you able to drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I experience?” ¹ 

They said to him, “We are able.” ¹  Then Jesus said to them, “You will drink the cup I drink, and you will be baptized with the baptism I experience,

I tell you the truth, ¹  I will no longer drink of the fruit ²  of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”

She quickly lowered her jug from her shoulder and said, ‘Drink, and I’ll give your camels water too.’ So I drank, and she also gave the camels water.

What good will it do you ¹  then ²  to go down to Egypt to seek help from the Egyptians? ³  What good will it do you ⁴  to go over to Assyria to seek help from the Assyrians? ⁵ 

From the stream along the road he drinks; then he lifts up his head. ¹ 

Let his own eyes see his destruction; ¹  let him drink of the anger of the Almighty.

You have made your people experience hard times; ¹  you have made us drink intoxicating wine. ² 

They put bitter poison ¹  into my food, and to quench my thirst they give me vinegar to drink. ²
