For I am sure of this very thing, ¹  that the one ²  who began a good work in ³  you will perfect it ⁴  until the day of Christ Jesus.

For who is our hope or joy or crown to boast of ¹  before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not of course you?

and to you who are being afflicted to give rest together with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed ¹  from heaven with his mighty angels. ² 

The priest must then examine it on the seventh day, and if, ¹  as far as he can see, the infection has stayed the same ²  and has not spread on the skin, ³  then the priest is to quarantine the person for another seven days. ⁴ 

The priest will then examine it, ¹  and if ²  a white swelling is on the skin, it has turned the hair white, and there is raw flesh in the swelling, ³ 

If, however, ¹  the priest examines it, and ²  there is no white hair in it, it is not deeper than the skin, and it has faded, then the priest is to quarantine him for seven days. ³ 

“When a body has a burn on its skin ¹  and the raw area of the burn becomes a reddish white or white bright spot,

If, however, ¹  the priest examines it and ²  there is no white hair in the bright spot, it is not deeper than the skin, ³  and it has faded, then the priest is to quarantine him for seven days. ⁴ 

But if there is a reddish white infection in the back or front bald area, it is a disease breaking out in his back or front bald area.

The watchman said, “It appears to me that the first runner is Ahimaaz ¹  son of Zadok.” The king said, “He is a good man, and he comes with good news.”

When the Moabites plead with all their might at their high places, ¹  and enter their temples to pray, their prayers will be ineffective! ² 

For before the harvest, when the bud has sprouted, and the ripening fruit appears, ¹  he will cut off the unproductive shoots ²  with pruning knives; he will prune the tendrils. ³ 

“Run for safety, people of Benjamin! Get out of Jerusalem! ¹  Sound the trumpet ²  in Tekoa! Light the signal fires at Beth Hakkerem! For disaster lurks ³  out of the north; it will bring great destruction. ⁴ 

A total ruin I will make it! ¹  It will come to an end when the one arrives to whom I have assigned judgment.’ ² 

Your courtiers ¹  are like locusts, your officials ²  are like a swarm of locusts! They encamp in the walls on a cold day, yet when the sun rises, they ³  fly away; ⁴  and no one knows where they ⁵  are. ⁶ 

The just Lord resides ¹  within her; he commits no unjust acts. ²  Every morning he reveals ³  his justice. At dawn he appears without fail. ⁴  Yet the unjust know no shame.

After noticing in the distance a fig tree with leaves, he went to see if he could find any fruit ¹  on it. When he came to it he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.

and then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord ¹  will destroy by the breath of his mouth and wipe out by the manifestation of his arrival.

I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus, who is going to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:

For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with hands – the representation ¹  of the true sanctuary ²  – but into heaven itself, and he appears now in God’s presence for us.
