It trains us ¹  to reject godless ways ²  and worldly desires and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,

“For inquire now of the former ¹  generation, and pay attention ²  to the findings ³  of their ancestors; ⁴ 

So Joseph died at the age of 110. ¹  After they embalmed him, his body ²  was placed in a coffin in Egypt.

The girl got up at once and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). They were completely astonished at this. ¹

from ¹  generation to generation he is merciful ²  to those who fear ³  him.
