Each competitor must exercise self-control in everything. They do it to receive a perishable crown, but we an imperishable one.

Then ¹  the sixth angel blew his trumpet, and I heard a single voice coming from the ²  horns on the golden altar that is before God,

if ¹  you seek ²  it like silver, ³  and search for it ⁴  like hidden treasure,

Do not be one who strikes hands in pledge or who puts up security for debts.

Therefore take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten. ¹
