For six days ¹  you may labor ²  and do all your work, ³ 

You are to work and do all your tasks in six days,

For they said, “Not during the feast, so there won’t be a riot among the people.” ¹ 

Eight days later the disciples were again together in the house, ¹  and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, ²  Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

Create for me a pure heart, O God! ¹  Renew a resolute spirit within me! ² 

May a curse attach itself to him, like a garment one puts on, ¹  or a belt ²  one wears continually!

But they said, “Not during the feast, so that there won’t be a riot among the people.” ¹ 

Now ¹  while Zechariah ²  was serving as priest before God when his division was on duty, ³ 

On the next Sabbath almost the whole city assembled together to hear the word of the Lord. ¹ 

He waited another seven days and sent the dove out again, ¹  but it did not return to him this time. ² 

But Rebekah’s ¹  brother and her mother replied, “Let the girl stay with us a few more days, perhaps ten. Then she can go.”

On the sixth day ¹  they will prepare what they bring in, and it will be twice as much as they gather every other day.” ² 

On the eighth day they held an assembly, for they had dedicated the altar for seven days and celebrated the festival for seven more days.

The entire assembly then decided to celebrate for seven more days; so they joyfully celebrated for seven more days.

Now on the first day of the feast of ¹  Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and said, ²  “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?” ³ 

(Now it was the day of preparation ¹  for the Passover, about noon. ² ) ³  Pilate ⁴  said to the Jewish leaders, ⁵  “Look, here is your king!”

After we located ¹  the disciples, we stayed there ²  seven days. They repeatedly told ³  Paul through the Spirit ⁴  not to set foot ⁵  in Jerusalem. ⁶ 

For in seven days ¹  I will cause it to rain ²  on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the ground every living thing that I have made.”

For seven days ¹  yeast must not be found in your houses, for whoever eats what is made with yeast – that person ²  will be cut off from the community of Israel, whether a foreigner ³  or one born in the land.

In six days ¹  work may be done, but on the seventh day there must be a holy day ²  for you, a Sabbath of complete rest to the Lord. ³  Anyone who does work on it will be put to death.
