His master answered, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful with a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’

The law of the Lord is perfect and preserves one’s life. ¹  The rules set down by the Lord ²  are reliable ³  and impart wisdom to the inexperienced. ⁴ 

I am grateful to the one who has strengthened me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he considered me faithful in putting me into ministry,

By faith, even though Sarah herself was barren and he was too old, ¹  he received the ability to procreate, ²  because he regarded the one who had given the promise to be trustworthy.

You prove to be loyal ¹  to one who is faithful; ²  you prove to be trustworthy ³  to one who is innocent. ⁴

The rules you impose are just, ¹  and absolutely reliable.

An unreliable ¹  messenger falls ²  into trouble, ³  but a faithful envoy ⁴  brings ⁵  healing.

A truthful witness ¹  does not lie, but a false witness ²  breathes out lies. ³ 

Many people profess their loyalty, ¹  but a faithful person ²  – who can find? ³ 

Open the gates so a righteous nation can enter – one that remains trustworthy.

For this reason, I have sent Timothy to you, who is my dear and faithful son in the Lord. He will remind you of my ways in Christ, ¹  as I teach them everywhere in every church.

The rules you set down ¹  are completely reliable. ²  Holiness ³  aptly adorns your house, O Lord, forever. ⁴ 

A faithful person ¹  will have an abundance of blessings, but the one who hastens ²  to gain riches will not go unpunished.

But as God is faithful, our message to you is not “Yes” and “No.”

And let us hold unwaveringly to the hope that we confess, for the one who made the promise is trustworthy.

You saw that a stone was cut from a mountain, but not by human hands; it smashed the iron, bronze, clay, silver, and gold into pieces. The great God has made known to the king what will occur in the future. ¹  The dream is certain, and its interpretation is reliable.”

Consequently the supervisors and satraps were trying to find ¹  some pretext against Daniel in connection with administrative matters. ²  But they were unable to find any such damaging evidence, ³  because he was trustworthy and guilty of no negligence or corruption. ⁴ 

All Israel from Dan to Beer Sheba realized that Samuel was confirmed as a prophet of the Lord.

Now, O sovereign Lord, you are the true God! ¹  May your words prove to be true! ²  You have made this good promise to your servant! ³
