When ¹  Jesus arrived, ²  he found that Lazarus ³  had been in the tomb four days already. ⁴ 

The ¹  women who had accompanied Jesus ²  from Galilee followed, and they saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it.

Now on the first day ¹  of the week, at early dawn, the women ²  went to the tomb, taking the aromatic spices ³  they had prepared.

Now at the place where Jesus ¹  was crucified ²  there was a garden, ³  and in the garden ⁴  was a new tomb where no one had yet been buried. ⁵ 

and their bones ¹  were later moved to Shechem and placed in the tomb that Abraham had bought for a certain sum of money ²  from the sons of Hamor in Shechem.

‘What right do you have to be here? What relatives do you have buried here? ¹  Why ²  do you chisel out a tomb for yourself here? He chisels out his burial site in an elevated place, he carves out his tomb on a cliff.

He was buried ¹  in his tomb in the garden of Uzzah, and his son Josiah replaced him as king.

¹ As for all the kings of the nations, all of them ²  lie down in splendor, ³  each in his own tomb. ⁴ 

Gideon son of Joash died at a very ¹  old age and was buried in the tomb of his father Joash located in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

Now after the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.

Then ¹  as they went into the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe ²  sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.

Then ¹  they went out and ran from the tomb, for terror and bewilderment had seized them. ²  And they said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.

Then ¹  some of those who were with us went to the tomb, and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see him.” ² 

Jesus, intensely moved ¹  again, came to the tomb. (Now it was a cave, and a stone was placed across it.) ² 

So the crowd who had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead were continuing to testify about it. ¹ 

When they had accomplished ¹  everything that was written ²  about him, they took him down ³  from the cross ⁴  and placed him ⁵  in a tomb.

But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. ¹  He bent down ²  and saw only the strips of linen cloth; ³  then he went home, ⁴  wondering ⁵  what had happened. ⁶ 

So she went running ¹  to Simon Peter and the other disciple whom Jesus loved and told them, “They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”

“Brothers, ¹  I can speak confidently ²  to you about our forefather ³  David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

They took Asahel’s body and buried him in his father’s tomb at Bethlehem. ¹  Joab and his men then traveled all that night and reached Hebron by dawn.
