For I can testify that they are zealous for God, ¹  but their zeal is not in line with the truth. ² 

Then Pilate said to him, “Don’t you hear how many charges they are bringing against you?”

He himself was not the light, but he came to testify ¹  about the light.

Then I said, ¹  “O Lord, intervene for the honor of your name ²  even though our sins speak out against us. ³  Indeed, ⁴  we have turned away from you many times. We have sinned against you.

When the Advocate ¹  comes, whom I will send you from the Father – the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father – he ²  will testify about me,

Now if you forget the Lord your God at all ¹  and follow other gods, worshiping and prostrating yourselves before them, I testify to you today that you will surely be annihilated.

I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  we speak about what we know and testify about what we have seen, but ²  you people ³  do not accept our testimony. ⁴ 

But I do not consider my life ¹  worth anything ²  to myself, so that ³  I may finish my task ⁴  and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news ⁵  of God’s grace.

and the life was revealed, and we have seen and testify and announce ¹  to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us). ² 

“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star!” ¹

For I can testify that he has worked hard ¹  for you and for those in Laodicea and Hierapolis.

So ¹  the high priest stood up and said to him, “Have you no answer? What is this that they are testifying against you?”

About him all the prophets testify, ¹  that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins ²  through his name.”

So I say this, and insist ¹  in the Lord, that you no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility ²  of their thinking. ³ 

If a false ¹  witness testifies against another person and accuses him of a crime, ² 

Do not be a witness against your neighbor without cause, ¹  and do not deceive with your words. ² 

I have both seen and testified that this man is the Chosen One of God.” ¹ 

Then ¹  the high priest stood up before them ²  and asked Jesus, “Have you no answer? What is this that they are testifying against you?”

So the crowd who had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead were continuing to testify about it. ¹
