Meanwhile ¹  the king’s men tried to find them on the road to the Jordan River ²  near the fords. ³  The city gate was shut as soon as they set out in pursuit of them. ⁴ 

So get up early in the morning along with the servants of your lord who have come with you. ¹  When you get up early in the morning, as soon as it is light enough to see, leave.” ²

When he had finished ¹  speaking ²  all these words, the ground that was under them split open,

Then I would quickly subdue their enemies, and attack ¹  their adversaries.”

The one who suffers ¹  will soon be released; he will not die in prison, ²  he will not go hungry. ³ 

Now ¹  as soon as they left the synagogue, ²  they entered Simon and Andrew’s house, with James and John.
