The one who oppresses ¹  the poor insults ²  his Creator, but whoever shows favor ³  to the needy honors him.

There is abundant food in the field ¹  of the poor, but it is swept away by injustice. ² 

I will abundantly supply what she needs; ¹  I will give her poor all the food they need. ² 

It is trampled underfoot by the feet of the oppressed, by the soles of the poor.”

His sons must recompense ¹  the poor; his own hands ²  must return his wealth.

The one who mocks the poor ¹  insults ²  his Creator; whoever rejoices over disaster will not go unpunished.

What is desirable ¹  for a person is to show loyal love, ²  and a poor person is better than a liar. ³ 

The one who shuts his ears ¹  to the cry ²  of the poor, he too will cry out and will not be answered. ³ 

The rich rule over ¹  the poor, and the borrower is servant ²  to the lender.

A generous person ¹  will be blessed, ²  for he gives some of his food ³  to the poor.

A poor person ¹  who walks in his integrity is better than one who is perverse in his ways ²  even though ³  he is rich. ⁴ 

A rich person ¹  is wise in his own eyes, ²  but a discerning poor person can evaluate him properly. ³ 

The righteous person cares for ¹  the legal rights ²  of the poor; the wicked does not understand such ³  knowledge.
