Then the king said, “Who is that in the courtyard?” Now Haman had come to the outer courtyard of the palace to suggest that the king hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had constructed for him.

On all the walls around the temple, inside and out, ¹  he carved ²  cherubs, palm trees, and flowers in bloom.

Therefore we do not despair, ¹  but even if our physical body ²  is wearing away, our inner person ³  is being renewed day by day.

When they go out to the outer court to the people, they must remove the garments they were ministering in, and place them in the holy chambers; they must put on other garments so that they will not transmit holiness to the people with their garments. ¹

For a tent was prepared, the outer one, ¹  which contained ²  the lampstand, the table, and the presentation of the loaves; this ³  is called the holy place.

After this Manasseh ¹  built up the outer wall of the City of David ²  on the west side of the Gihon in the valley to the entrance of the Fish Gate and all around the terrace; he made it much higher. He placed army officers in all the fortified cities in Judah.

The outer sanctuary and the inner sanctuary each had a double door.

Then he measured the width from before the lower gate to the front of the exterior of the inner court as 175 feet ¹  on the east and on the north.

At the beginning ¹  of the wall of the court toward the south, ²  facing the courtyard and the building, were chambers

They must carry the curtains for the tabernacle and the tent of meeting with its covering, the covering of fine leather that is over it, the curtains for the entrance of the tent of meeting,

and the chambers of the court was 35 feet ¹  in width all around the temple on every side.

The doorposts of the outer sanctuary were square. In front of the sanctuary one doorpost looked just like the other.
